MAPS - Learning by teaching peers

Teaching is a noble act and helping our peers is one of the best way to develop mastery. Having students work with each other is an effective methodology because it encourages students to be active learners and talk through course concepts in their own words. Reetik Agarwal of Class XII-D took the initiative of teaching mathematics for 2 hours to his classmates after the school hours. It has not only enhanced concept clarity but also boosted student's confidence in a subject that is phobia for most. For this Reetik has picked up one of the toughest chapter in class XII mathematics. The difficult topics are explained thoroughly by him followed by a doubt clearing round. Difficult and tricky questions are solved on the board. This collaborative learning encourages cooperative rather than competitive behaviour. It has been extremely beneficial for the students as they are more comfortable and less inhibited being taught by a fellow student!
Kudos to Reetik for this selfless and Noble act!
